Ruth B. Aseron, Microinsurance Coordinator

Ms. Aseron is a development professional with over seven years of experience as a project consultant for various microfinance institutions, including cooperatives and NGO-MFIs. She joined MABS in 2007 as a short-term consultant for the mobile phone banking rollout. As MABS Microinsurance Coordinator since 2008, she orchestrates MABS initiative to help enhance access to microinsurance products and services for lower-income clients of rural banks. Ms. Aseron is in-charge of executing project activities, which include market research, product customization, promotion, quality monitoring, and policy advocacy, all of which are anchored on the partner-agent model advocated by MABS.

Ms. Aseron holds a degree in development studies from the University of the Philippines and trained in entrepreneurship and marketing with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).
